This is my Mom’s favorite sweet. Happy Mother’s Day to all. An opportunity to convey our gratitude to the selfless and loving Moms. Take a moment to recall your earliest childhood happy moments with Mom. Don’t you wish to go back to those times again, at least for sometime 🙂 ?
Rava laddu has many recipes.I learnt this recipe from my sister. This is the way my grand mother used to make it and its the way my Mom likes. Ghee is not used in this recipe.
- Coarse Suji / bombay rava – one cup
- Fresh grated coconut – one and half cup
- Water – three-fourth cup
- Sugar – one cup
- Chopped almonds – three tbsp
In a pan, add rava and roast until little brown (low flame). Transfer in to a plate. In the same pan, add sugar and water. Melt the sugar and wait for one boil. Now add grated coconut and mix well. Boil for two to three mins or until the mixture thickens a bit.
Now add suji and almonds. Mix well and cook for one minute.
Turn off and cool it. Once cool down, make laddu.
