- Soy bean flour – one cup
- Besan / chick pea flour – one cup
- Jeera – one tsp
- Red chilli powder – one tsp
- Salt – to taste
- Ajwain / carom seeds – one tsp
- Amchur powder – one tsp
- Oil – to deep fry
- Water – to make dough
Add oil (for deep-frying) to a pan on medium flame. While the oil is heating, prepare muruku dough. Oil should not be too hot. To check the oil temperature, put pinch of dough into the oil, it should rise up slowly.
In a bowl add soy bean flour, besan, jeera, red chilli powder, salt, ajwain, amchur powder. Mix well. Now add four tblsp of oil. Mix again. Now slowly add little by little water to make the dough. Dough should not be too soft or hard.
Divide the dough into four equal parts.Grease the inside of muruku machine with oil. Fill it with one part of dough. Close it tightly. Now gently press to make muruku.
Fry until they are golden brown on both sides. Ready to eat…Store in an airtight box after muruku cool down.
