Vegetable manchurian


  1. Grated cauliflower  –  one cup
  2. Grated cabbage  –  three-fourth cup
  3. Grated carrot  –  half cup
  4. Finely chopped beans  –  three-fourth cup
  5. Chopped spring onions  –  three-fourth cup
  6. Ginger garlic paste  –  one tsp
  7. Chopped garlic  –  one tsp
  8. Chopped coriander leaves  –  six tblsp
  9. Tomato ketchup  –  one tblsp
  10. Soya sauce  –  half tsp
  11. Chilly sause  –  one tsp
  12. Finely chopped green chilly  –  one tsp
  13. Chopped red bell pepper  –  half cup
  14. Pepper powder  –  one-fourth tblsp
  15. Salt  –  to taste
  16. Corn starch  –  two tblsp
  17. Oil  –  to deep fry
  18. All-purpose flour  –  two tblsp


In a bowl add grated cauliflower, cabbage, carrot, chopped beans, spring onion (half cup), chilli, salt, ginger garlic paste, pepper powder. Mix well. Now add all-purpose flour and corn starch. Mix nicely and you shoud be able to make small balls. ( If you’re not able to make ball, add some more flour. Adding too much flour can spoil the taste ).


Heat oil and deep fry the balls until they are gold brown. In another pan, add one tsp of oil, to this add chopped garlic, spring onion and bell pepper. Fry them for one minute. Add tomato ketchup, soya sauce and chilly sauce and little water. Boil it for two minutes. Now add vegetable balls. Mix and sprinkle with coriander leaves.
