Puffed rice snack


  1. Puffed rice  –  six cups
  2. Mint leaves  –  fifteen leaves
  3. Coriander leaves  –  one-fourth cup
  4. Curry leaves  –  ten leaves
  5. Salt  –  to taste
  6. Ground nuts  –  five tblsp
  7. Roasted chana dal  –  four tblsp
  8. Red chilli  –  two
  9. Sliced green chilli  –  three
  10. Red chilli powder  –  one-fourth tsp
  11. Sugar  –  half tsp
  12. Oil  –  four tblsp
  13. Turmeric powder  –  pinch
  14. Sliced garlic  –  two


In a bowl take puffed rice. In a pan pour oil and heat it. Once oil is hot, add ground nuts and fry them. Add the roasted ground nuts to the puffed rice bowl. To the same pan add mint leaves, fry them until they are crispy.Then add them to puffed rice bowl. In the same way fry curry leaves, coriander leaves, red chilli, green chilli , garlic and roasted chana dal one by one. Add to the puffed rice one by one. Now add turmeric powder, salt and sugar to the puffed rice.

Mix all of them. While mixing hand-crush the fried corainder leaves, mint leaves and curry leaves. Store in a airtight container.


Serves three to four.


15 to 20 mins


Stays crispy for three to four days.
