Tomato soup


  1. Chopped tomatoes  –  two cups
  2. Chopped carrot  –  half cup
  3. Chopped potato  –  one-fourth cup
  4. Garlic  –  one clove
  5. Butter  –  two tsp
  6. Red chilli powder  –  pinch
  7. Pepper  –  five
  8. Salt  –  to taste
  9. Sugar  –  half tsp
  10. Milk  –  one-fourth cup
  11. Water  –  two and half cups
  12. Cream  to garnish


In a pressure cooker add one tsp butter, garlic and pepper. Fry them and then add carrot, tomato and potato. Mix well and fry for a minute. Add two cups of water and close the lid. Pressure cook for two whistles.Turn off the heat. Cool it and remove from the cooker. Grind them and strain . In a sauce pan add puree, salt, remaining water, milk, sugar, red chilli powder and butter (one tsp). Stir it and bring to boil. Turn off the heat. Now ready to serve and garnish with cream.
