Sev curry


  1. Thick sev  –  half cup
  2. Chopped onions  –  one-fourth cup
  3. Chopped tomatoes  –  one-fourth cup
  4. Turmeric powder  –  pinch
  5. Oil  –  one tblsp
  6. Jeera seeds  –  half tsp
  7. Mustard seeds  –  half tsp
  8. Chilli powder  –  three-fourth tsp
  9. Salt  –  to taste
  10. Roasted seasame seeds  –  two tsp
  11. Pumpkin seeds  –  two tblsp
  12. Curry leaves  –  few
  13. Coriander leaves  –  few


In a mixer jar add roasted seasame seeds, pumpkin seeds and little water. Make a fine paste. In a pan prepare tadka with oil, jeera seeds, mustard seeds, turmeric powder and curry leaves. Now add onions and fry until they are translucent. Add tomatoes and paste. Fry until it becomes thick. To this add red chilli powder, salt and two cups of water. Add the sev after water is boiling. Mix well and cover it and cook until it becomes thick. Garnish with coriander leaves. Ready to serve with roti….
