Cabbage Pickle


  1. Chopped cabbage  –  two cups
  2. Oil  –  three tsp
  3. Red chilli powder  –  one tsp
  4. Salt  –  to taste
  5. Turmeric powder  –  pinch
  6. Roasted and crushed mustard seeds –  half tsp
  7. Lemon juice  –  one tsp
  8. Jeera seeds  –  half tsp
  9. Urad daal  –  half tsp
  10. Asfoetida  –  pinch
  11. Curry leaves  –  few


In a bowl add cabbage, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, crushed mustard seeds, lemon juice and salt. Mix well. Prepare tadka with oil, jeera seeds, urad dall, curry leaves and asfoetida. Add tadka to the pickle and mix well. Ready to serve with paratha, rice…..

Refrigerate, stays for a  week
