Cauliflower and carrot curry


  1. Chopped cauliflower  –  two cups (soak it in boiled water with lid for 5 mins and drain the water)
  2. Grated carrots  –  half cup
  3. Chopped onions  –  half cup
  4. Roasted jeera powder  –  one tblsp
  5. Sliced green chilli  –  three
  6. Turmeric powder  –  pinch
  7. Curry leaves  –  few
  8. Coriander leaves  –  few
  9. Oil  –  one tblsp
  10. Mustard seeds  –  one-fourth tblsp
  11. Jeera seeds  –  one-fourth tblsp
  12. Urad daal  –  one-fourth tblsp
  13. Salt  –  to taste


In a pan, add oil, mustard seeds, jeera seeds, urad daal, chopped onions, green chilli, curry leaves, fry until onions are light brown. Add grated carrot, cauliflower, salt, turmeric powder. Cook them with lid until cauliflower is soft. Make sure that cauliflower pieces are not mashed. Add roasted jeera powder and coriander leaves. Ready..
