Vegetable sandwich



  1. Bread slices  –  ten
  2. Green chutney  –  one-third cup (Green chutney recipe)
  3. Sliced red capsicum  –  one cup
  4. Sliced potato  –  half cup
  5. Chopped green beans  –  one-third cup
  6. Sliced onions  –  one-third cup
  7. Sliced carrot  –  one-third cup
  8. Salt  –  to taste
  9. Red chilli powder  –  one-fourth tsp
  10. Amchur powder  –  half tsp
  11. Jeera seeds  –  half tsp
  12. Oil  –  one tblsp
  13. Butter  –  for spreading on bread
  14. Cheese slices  –  five  (optional)
  15. Coriander leaves  –  few


In a pan add oil, jeera seeds, onions, potatoes, capsicum, beans, carrots and salt. Mix well and cover with lid. Fry until vegetables are soft. Now add red chilli powder, amchur powder and coriander leaves. Mix well. Take it in a bowl and keep it aside.

Now take bread slices apply butter lightly and then apply green chutney (one tblsp),  put some of curry and cheese slice and cover it with another bread slice. Toast it in a sandwich toaster or  in a pan.


Makes five sandwiches.
