Ingredients

  1. Medum size boiled potatoes  –  five ( peel and mash them)
  2. Sliced onions  –  one cup
  3. Green chills  –  four (cut length wise)
  4. Turmeric powder  –  pinch
  5. Salt  –  to taste
  6. Oil  –  two tblsp
  7. Urad daal  –  half tblsp
  8. Jeera seeds  –  half tblsp
  9. Mustard seeds  –  half tblsp
  10. Chana daal  –  half tblsp
  11. Curry leaves  –  few
  12. Coriander leaves  –  few
  13. Lemon juice  –  two tblsp
  14. Water  –  one-fourth cup

Procedure

In a pan prepare tadka with oil, jeera seeds, urad daal, chana daal, mustard seeds and curry leaves. Add onions and green chillis, fry until onions are lightly brown. Add mashed potatoes, turmeric powder, salt and water. Mix it and cook until it becomes thick. Cook with lid on. Turn off heat, add lemon juice and coriander leaves. Mix well.
