Green capsicum curry


  1. Green chopped capsicum  –  two cups
  2. Ginger  –  one inch
  3. Grated dry coconut  –  five tblsp
  4. Dalia split  –  half cup
  5. Salt  –  to taste
  6. Green chillis  –  three
  7. Coriander leaves  –  two tblsp
  8. Oil  –  three tblsp
  9. Urad daal  – one-fouth tblsp
  10. Mustard seeds  –  one-fourth tblsp
  11. Jeera seeds  –  one-fourth tblsp
  12. Asafoetida  –  pinch
  13. Curry leaves  –  few
  14. Water  –  one-fourth cup


In a mixer jar add dalia split, ginger, dry coconut, salt, green chillis and coriander leaves. Make a fine powder.Keep it aside. In a pan prepare tadka with oil,mustard seeds, jeera seeds, urad daal, asafoetida and curry leaves. Add chopped capsicum and let it fry for one minute. Add water and cover it. Let it cook until capsicums are soft. Now add powder to capsicum. Mix it well. Fry until powder is lightly brown. Granish with grated with coconut. Serve with hot rice.

Stays good for two days.
