Ingredients

  1. Bottle gourd  –  one medium  ( peel and cut into small pieces)
  2.  Onion  –  one small ( peel and cut into small pieces)
  3. Tomato  –  one small ( cut into small pieces)
  4. Salt  –  to taste
  5. Urad dal  –  one -fourth tblsp
  6. mustard seeds  –  one-fourth tblsp
  7. Jeera seeds  –  one-fourth tblsp
  8. Curry leaves  –  few
  9. Asafoetida  – pinch
  10. Turmeric  –  pinch
  11. Red chilli powder – half tblsp
  12. Roasted ground nut powder  –  two tblsp
  13. Milk  –  one tblsp
  14. Oil  –  two tblsp

Procedure

Prepare tadka with oil, urad dal, mustard seeds and jeera. Then add  onions, bottle gourd, tomato, turmeric, salt and milk. Cover the pan  and fry on medium heat. Fry until they are soft. Finally add roasted ground nut powder and red chilli powder. Garnish with curry leave. Serve it with hot rice or  roti.
